owensboro Ky

I began my bike ride on the Owensboro  Rivefront  decorated for the holidays. 

Sunset during the holidays made for a great view from the banks of the Ohio River. 

The streets were full of inviting store fronts and entertaining stops. 

I know have something new to share with my bluegrass budiies.   Could be a road trip! 

Early 20th century homee is now a popular desitanation for local and visitors. Bar is cozy and displays hundreds of choices fof bourbon.

Fun atomosphere , friendly staff and tasty mea!  All within walking distance. 

I began my 3 + mile walk down memory lane.  The frst concert I adttended was the Monkees and have been singing  Last Train to Clarksville for over 50 years.    

The Austin Peay Governors are my home team football schedule, Alabama, this year.  Enjoyed my stroll through an active and busy campus. 

Clarksville was Jimi Hendrix's stage long before Woodstock. 

I leaned he trained as 101st Airborne paratrooper at nearby Fort Campbell.

Still standing, tall and majetic,  surviving  fires and tornados,  to record the community's history. 

Plenty of options to take a break, on your walk, and relax at 

Clarksville Commons. 

My 3+ mile walk , satisfied my destire to get some exercise, discover a new place and look forward to my next visit.
